One of the most impressive buildings along your cruising route: Breda's old Koepelgevangenis. Once home to female prisoners, it is now used as a venue for small business and events. Refugees from Ukraine are also housed in one section. On the 1-hour route you turn around here, so take a leisurely stroll around and admire the forms of this special old prison.

Spanjaardsgat
This is the photo spot of Breda! Sail quietly under the little bridge and look up at the Spanjaardsgat: an ancient water gate from the 16th century. According to tradition, Dutch troops entered the city here during the Eighty Years' War to drive out the Spaniards, hence the name. You also have a beautiful view of Breda Castle from here.
